My Journey with MagnaWave
Allison Flint is the founder of Wellness on the ranch located in southwest Florida. Growing up in a small town in Chester County Pennsylvania is where Allison fell in love with horses and all that comes with them. Her education on horseback began at a young age and from a student of Sally Swift in the foundation of Centered Riding. She was later recruited by a top hunter breeder to show ponies and turn off the track thoroughbreds into hunter prospects. During those years she learned all aspects of show prep, sales prep, conditioning, and equine rehabilitation. Allison developed a forte for finding a horse’s niche and cultivating a happy healthy horse able to excel with a well-suited partner. She has competed in numerous different disciplines, both english and western, and was also a riding instructor for many years teaching beginner to intermediate and advanced students.
Once Allison moved to southwest Florida in 2002, she hung up her coaches’ hat to learn the art of reining and reined cow horse and compete as a non pro and focus all her time soaking up these great sports. She found that her centered riding background was the key to success in all of the disciplines.
Throughout Allison’s 40 plus years in the equine industry she has had the opportunity to ride with top trainers and Olympic coaches from multiple disciplines. Worked in many facets from tack shops, to vets, to managing show barns and equine rehabilitation. Her wide range of understanding of a horse’s behavior and movement from all her years of experience provides her the ability to truly have a positive impact on all who she helps. Here at Wellness on the Ranch we are ready to help you and your equine partner feel they’re very best!
Allison continues to manage their cattle ranch, Bar 4J Bar with her husband Steve and their daughter Anna. Her free time is enjoyed spending time with family and friends from the water to the ranch, trying new things and traveling.
